Today there is an energy, a lesson perhaps about 'more haste, less speed; the definition of which is you make better progress with a task if you don't try to do it too quickly'. I'm hearing it resounding around me in my conversations; in other people's conversations, in the things said and the things unsaid.
Maybe the lesson for today is look at the people around us and see what they're doing and why. Are they tired, are they dull, are they low? Are they working all hours unseen and uncomplaining, not asking for help, working towards their goals without 'putting on other people, with their own goals'.
When we put things out to the Universe as to the goals, ambitions, wants, desires we 'set in motion' a 'Titanic' of a seafaring vessel. Massive, loaded with opportunity and potential, slow to get going and hard to stop. This ship was beautiful, it was the 'stuff of dreams' and like our dreams the manifestation of many people's visions but that was the problem, too many people, with too many aspirations for its success, too many ideas about how it would be best to achieve it that it literally 'crashed and burned'.
If you wish to achieve your goals you need to focus. Focus on what is right for you to achieve them and then get the people around you who wish to see you succeed, are supportive of how you are going to achieve that and who want to help you and who appreciate the work and effort that you are putting in to get there.
Maybe if the Titanic had had people all 'singing off the same hymn sheet' it wouldn't have gone down, maybe the crew would have heeded the iceberg warnings, maybe the drills would have been carried out but I surmise, rightly or wrongly that there were people who were so desperate to reach its destination at a certain time, for whatever reason, that they lost focus of why they were doing it in the first place.
So if there is a lesson to be taken from this blog today is 'be like the Tortoise' not like the Hare, 'slow and steady wins the race'!
